Letter from Alberta Health Services to F.G. Miller Families

This year all schools must report to AHS if student absenteeism due to illness reaches 10%. On Monday September 20th F.G. Miller School reached 10.4% and this was reported. Once that happens the school's illness rates are monitored for 15 days. F.G.M.'s has been decreasing over the course of this week. Today, September 24th, it was 6.8%.

Although there is no longer a legal requirement to quarantine as a close contact, it is strongly recommended parents keep their children at home for 14 days if they have been exposed to a household contact and are not vaccinated.

Be aware the school is following all COVID protocols. Absences due to illness will continue to be monitored and we hope to see continued improvement in the coming weeks.
