Celebrating Spring Crusader Style
Last week, the Realm celebrated the coming of Spring with a week's worth of spirit!
Monday, March 15, 2021 - We celebrated PI+1 day by creating 60 digits of PI for our yearbook. The Cru were encouraged to wear a number today or hold one of the digits of PI (3.14...)
Tuesday, March 16, 2021 - It was Tie-Dye or Formal Tie Tuesday and the Cru sported their tie-dye masks, t-shirts and even pants which made for a groovy day! On the flip side, we had Crusaders wearing their best tie for a more formal look! Then we had the rebels who wore both!
Wednesday, March 17, 2021 - We coloured the Realm green in honor of St. Patrick's day!
Thursday, March 18, 2021 - Incredible Kid day was celebrated on Thursday, and we encouraged our super kids to wear Superhero t-shirts. We had blanket capes, t-shirts and even Tony Stark showed up for the day!
Friday, March 19, 2021 - Friday marked International Day of Happiness and the day before Spring Equinox! We celebrated by wearing funky, funny or fabulous hats. Throughout the day the Cru were asked the question "What makes you happy?" and responses were put on happy faces then displayed on our learning commons windows. We had two anonymous donors who wanted to celebrate those who participated, so 12 random happy faces were chosen and the owners were treated with a free bag of popcorn at last break!
It was a great week of dress-up spirit to welcome Spring....3 months to go! Thanks to all those who participated in this learning commons event. Enjoy some of the photos from our wonderful week (Photos are in reverse chronology with Friday photos appearing first)! Note: A zoom lens was used, and when it was safe to do so, Crusaders unmasked for their photo op!
