A Surprise Left A Big Smile!

One of our graduating Crusaders, Devon Nazarchuk, got a BIG surprise yesterday after his Biology 30 exam. He was led down to the Library Learning Commons where he was surprised with a slideshow, a special message, and a scholarship cheque presentation. Devon received the J. William Gow Volleyball Scholarship in memory of a former coach, William Gow, who sadly passed away in October of 2017. William and Diane Gow coached Devon during his years playing club volleyball in Lloydminster. During this time, Devon showed great potential and brought a strong work ethic and positive attitude to each and every practice. Even after Devon left the team to play in Edmonton, his coaches continued to support him and, more recently, with this scholarship to help him with his post-secondary education. In the fall, Devon Nazarchuk will be attending the King’s University to begin his degree and play on the King’s Eagles Men’s Volleyball Team. Congratulations Devon!
