Practice for the Polls - Student Vote 2019

The Student Vote is going to be on Tuesday, April 16, 2019. Crusaders have an opportunity to participate in a mock version the Alberta Election. The polls will be open in Mr. Clarke's room during the lunch break.

Student Vote is the flagship program of CIVIX, Canada’s leading civic education charity. Since 2003, CIVIX has coordinated 42 Student Vote programs at various levels of elections. In the 2015 federal election, 922,358 students from 6,662 schools voted for the federal candidates running in their local riding (including 160,000 Alberta students from 1,100 schools). The day after the election, the vote totals will be released and compared to how the real provincial election went.

Parents, this is a great opportunity to talk to your Crusaders about political issues and help them understand how government decisions can have an impact on our lives. Additional information can be found by clicking on this link! http://studentvote.ca/ab2019/about/
