Class of 2017 - Celebrating Success
On June 30, 2017, in a short 80 minutes, our senior Crusaders left behind high school to emerge as our newest alumni. Carter Wood lead the ceremony with our national anthem. Mr. Younghans, our vice-principal, did a stellar job as the master of ceremonies and lead the event with ease. The class thanked parents and staff members and representatives from both responded. The Class of 2017 valedictorian, Christopher Boratynec, delivered his address to this fellow classmates and the audience with a perfect balance of humour, wisdom and thankfulness. Our principal, Mr. Bjorkman, handed out scrolls while a brief biography and future ambitions were read for each graduand and then addressed the 20th graduating group of his career. The sword was passed from our grade 12 to grade 11 students, and our guests and graduands shared a powerpoint journey of the class. The event ended with the tossing of the caps and our newest alumni moved on to celebrate with family and friends at the Allied Arts.
To our Class of 2017....Safe journey, we hope to see you soon and remember....once a Crusader, always a Crusader.
