Alumni Crusade en masse!
Your alma mater is excited to announce that we had an amazing visit with alumni on July 1, 2017, during the Town of Elk Point Canada Day celebration. We had hoped a few alumni would stop by, but were flabbergasted to host well over 175 alumni (those that signed our guest book) who brought along spouses and children to revisit the halls of their youth. We had alumni from 1959 and even a few of our recently graduated students stopped by to check out our informal event. We had former teachers and support staff join us, offered popcorn and beverages for sale throughout the two hours and even sold an overstocked yearbook or two! If you are looking for a yearbook, please click on the vintage yearbook link on our site.
Alumni were able to explore the halls, gaze in envy at our beautiful gym and take a walk down memory lane with our display of yearbooks and memorbilia. Mr. Ray Hellquist, a former teacher and alumni, brought his collection of Elk Point memorbilia and country school registers which helped the event span even a larger amount of the area's educational history.
It was a whole lot of fun with lots of visiting and remembering the wonderful moments that have occurred in the halls of F. G. Miller High School which opened its doors in 1961. Our yearbooks helpd to keep all those precious memories alive, so if you haven't purchased your 2016-17 yearbook (which has actually just been completed and will be delivered in September 2017), be sure to invest in the memories created by your children still attending F. G. Miller High School.
