This May long weekend our SADD group (Kolbie Poitras, Chyanne Fisher, Caleb Poitras, Kyle Smith and Leshaun Jenkins, Erin Duffee, Megan Phillips, Kelsey Phillips (member at large), Sam Urquhart, Taylor Ford, Rachel Zacharuk, Alexis Krider along with mentors, Sherry Bower Gagne, Angie Phillips and parent volunteer, Donna Krider) in conjunction with our fantastic local emergency team (RCMP – Cpl. Bobby Burgess and Const. Garnier and the Elk Point Fire Dept. - Lyle Frisby, Ramsey Mudryk, Kassandra Moores and Jordan Cousins joined to form a SUPER CHECK STOP at the intersections of Highways 646 and 41. The check stop included all 4 directions and was the first check stop of this magnitude in our community. It was an incredibly busy night and the entire team wants to recreate the event in the future.

We are so proud of our SADD group for working with our community emergency team to bring awareness about the adverse effects that drinking and driving and keeping our roads safe for not only our Crusaders, but for all who travel our roadways!
